Wells Food Festival relies on volunteers to manage and run the event. We have a dedicated committee that works hard behind the scenes, plus a great bunch of people who help on the day. We’re a friendly and passionate team and are always looking for people to join us, whether it’s on a regular basis or just for a couple of hours on the event day. Volunteer Opportunities
Join the Committee
If you have experience and skills in any area of event management or are passionate about food, join the committee and help to organise the festival.
Help on the Day
If you are available for the whole day, we have roles for lead stewards, who oversee a specific area, manage the stewards and troubleshoot any problems.
If you can just spare a couple of hours, we need volunteers for:
- Welcoming and orientating traders
- Marshalling trader traffic
- Welcoming visitors and handing out information
- Setting up and packing away communal areas
- Stewarding (marquee gatekeeping and patrolling)
