Every one of my preserves is lovingly produced the traditional way, hand cooked small batches in a Maslin pan; ensuring that the finished item is of the highest quality, full of flavour and lots of love. Using recipes handed down the generations as well as introducing some new ones for this generation too. Preserving my heritage & providing some modern twists for you to enjoy alongside the traditional ones, but always delicious flavours. Established in 2013, I am registered with local Trading Standards, Environmental Health Inspected and awarded the highest Food Hygiene Rating of 5 by the Food Standards Authority. Hembridge Organics believe in real local organic ingredients. We buy our produce from Somerset Soil Association accredited farms. All our preserves are vegan friendly and gluten free. We don’t use commercial pectin, additives or colourings in our award winning jams and chutneys. All of our preserves are made by hand in small batches producing a truly bespoke product.

Proprietor Martin Carwardine has been hand-roasting premium Arabicas his entire life, continuing the family legacy of coffee roasting expertise which stretched back to the 1800’s. Today, the business proudly supplies the highest quality, traceable and sustainable coffee blends and origin coffees to customers across the country. Martin Carwardine and Co. also specialises in expertly refurbishing commercial espresso machines and auxiliary equipment. These machines have been carefully refurbished by factory trained technicians and are available to buy or rent via affordable packages with full service support.
Old Jollop Cider
Old Jollop cider made by hand by friends. Our cider is produced by using only the oldest orchards giving our cider the real authentic taste. We don’t use any sprays or commercial trees, we love to see the old trees bought back to life with some gentle pruning and careful management, these trees live on producing some exceptional apples for our cider. We produce small batches so not to have a negative impact on the orchards we use.
Award-winning 100% pure Canadian maple syrup.
Pure Maple is a British Canadian family business that was saddened by the poor quality of maple syrup found in the UK. Working with a cooperative of experienced maple syrup producers in South East Quebec, Canada, Pure Maple is created using the traditional, manual ‘tapping’ process which can only take place during the six-week harvesting season. 100% pure with nothing added or taken away.
Pure Maple syrup has three Great Taste Award-Winning grades: Golden Delicate, Amber Rich and Dark Robust. Grading is done using a combination of the flavour and translucence of the syrup, the lighter maple syrup grades are produced earlier in the harvesting season when the weather is colder.
Snowdrop Cottage Fine Foods
I first had the idea for Snowdrop Cottage nine years ago whilst working as gardener at a local farmhouse. I had a passion for delicious, locally crafted foods produced using fresh quality ingredients and traditional methods, however I often struggled to find such things! Surrounded by fine quality fruits and vegetables, I soon became inspired to start creating my own chutneys, preserves and fresh pastries – Snowdrop Cottage Fine Foods was born.
Bini had a successful teaching career for 15 years but after visiting India in 2007, felt her transferable skills could be put to better use. In 2012 her hobby became her profession, as she established Sweet Cumin and Bini Fine Foods Ltd. In 2015, Bini was shortlisted as a finalist for the South West Seed Fund; where she was asked to pitch her multi award frozen Indian ready meals to leading food experts and 180 guests. Her range of Bini takeaway curries have also been awarded Best Local food to Go in the South by Taste of the South West have achieved 10 Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Foods show casing all six of her ready meal range. She has also sent the food to Buckingham Palace and was shortlisted as a finalist in the Delicious Magazine 2016 for the Produce Awards. Bini’s passion and charisma has made Sweet Cumin Indian cookery school gain recognition in the Guardian as top foodie course in the UK.
